The feedback we had over the years has been amazing and supports the fact that Spatone has helped many women restore healthy iron levels.
Below you will find a few examples where Spatone has proved to be beneficial.
Case 1
Jackie had a normal birth, but unfortunately suffered a severe heamorrhage shortly afterwards. Consequently her iron levels were depleted. She experienced light-headedness, dizziness, tiredness and muscle fatigue and naturally found it difficult to cope with her new baby. Her Hb was 7.9g/dl and she could not tolerate the side effects of the prescribed iron tablets. We recommended she takes three sachets of Spatone daily for a few weeks, plus of course an iron rich diet to build up her iron levels.
After a couple of weeks Jackie felt much better and her Hb was was up to 10.1g/dl. She reduced her Spatone intake to two sachets per day for a couple of months and she continues to take Spatone once per day to maintain her iron levels. Jackie was amazed how easy it was to take Spatone and best of all she did not experience any side effects.
Case 2
After listening to a seminar that I gave on iron deficiency a health care professional wondered whether her daughter’s anaemia was due to the intense physical training she undertook. Her eleven year old daughter had an Hb of 8.4g/dl despite of her eating a healthy diet. She was very athletic and trained three times per week. Even her GP was amazed when her Hb rose to 11.2g/dl after commencing Spatone. She went on to win silver and bronze medals at sporting events and naturally her parents are delighted with her success. Her eight year old sister has also started taking Spatone because she wants to win medals too!
Case 3
A midwife contacted me regarding a pregnant lady on her caseload who was booked for a home birth. At her 36 week blood screening her Hb had dropped to 9.9g/dl. If she could not raise her Hb to 10.4g/dl she would not be able to have a homebirth according to the hospital policy. The midwife advised the lady to take two sachets of Spatone per day in a glass of orange juice between meals and to return for a repeat blood test in two weeks time. When the lady returned her Hb had risen to 10.7g/dl.
Naturally she was delighted to be able to continue with her plans and give birth at home.
Case 4
Salema was 6 months pregnant and feeling really dreadful and nauseated all of the time. She assumed this was pregnancy sickness and was trying to cope with it as best she could. After speaking to her for some time, Salema said she had not experienced nausea in the earlier months of her pregnancy when this would have been more common. It transpired that Salema had recently been prescribed on iron tablets and I suggested that this might be the cause of her nausea. Salema went away armed with a few boxes of Spatone and to her great relief after taking Spatone for a short period her nausea vanished and her iron levels began to rise. Salema felt much better generally and also had more energy. Since then Salema has regularly recommended Spatone to her friends and family.
