Is Spatone suitable for people with malabsorption problems?

Because Spatone is a low dose iron supplement and in a soluble easy available form, it is usually better tolerated by people with Chrohns disease, IBS and related conditions than high dose iron preparations.

Is Spatone suitable for diabetics?

Spatone is a 100% natural spa water with a high content of elemental iron. It therefore has no added ingredients such as sugars or glucose.

What about Haemachromatosis?

Spatone should not be given to people with Haemachromatosis and related conditions as this will add to the toxic overload of iron in the body. In the absence of Haemachromatosis, people who have adequate iron stores will only absorb a very small amount of iron from Spatone.

How to best take Spatone?

To gain maximum absorption of iron from Spatone it is recommended to be taken away from meal times and other supplements (such as antacids, calcium and zinc) to avoid any competing factors that may inhibit absorption.
