We actively developed a formula for our new Nelsons Pure & Clear range which is free of skin irritants such as:
SLS & SLES
Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) and Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES) are cheap foaming agents commonly used in soaps, shampoos, skin washes and cleansers. Some studies have shown that both SLS and SLES can cause skin irritation and drying.
PEGs
Polyethylene glycols are commonly used in makeup, shampoo, conditioner, acne treatments, deodorants, mascara, soap, cleansing cream and many more. Some impurities found in PEGs after they are manufactured are regarded as potential skin irritants.
Parabens
Parabens are used as preservatives in shampoos, deodorants, commercial moisturizers, shaving gels, spray tans and toothpastes. There is still much debate over whether parabens are a potential health risk or not. We have left them out of our Nelsons Pure & Clear range for now.
Lanolin
Lanolin is a natural product obtained from sheep wool. Allergies to lanolin, often attributed to the pesticides used on the sheep, have been recognized by dermatologists for decades.
Silicones
Silicones are sometimes used as a barrier to trap moisture. For our Nelsons Pure & Clear range we tried to use more gentle solutions such as Shea Butter and Aloe Vera to give your skin the moisture back the natural way.
