Becoming withdrawn

Becoming withdrawn

The following case study is intended to give you an imaginary scenario where some of Dr Bach's remedies might be useful.

After the case study, there is a list of a few remedies that could be applicable in this case. Learn about these remedies by clicking on the links to the remedy profiles and then see if you can answer the questions below them to test your knowledge of the remedies.

Case study

Sue and Jack have been married for thirty years, and the last of their children has just left home to start university. She misses them and often spends time looking through old family albums wistfully reliving the past, thinking of happier times. Now they’ve all flown the nest it’s left a huge vacuum in her life.

As if that wasn’t bad enough she’s just started the menopause,  seems to be flying off the handle and is up and down half the night with hot flushes.  She’s feeling unsettled and finding it difficult to adapt to all the changes.

Jack who’s always been full of life and fun has not been much company lately.  He’s under a lot of pressure at work and finding it difficult to meet his monthly targets.  He prefers not to talk about it and withdraws into his study where she often finds him miles away gazing out of the window in a little world of his own.

This course is designed to give only a brief introduction to a limited number of Dr Bach’s remedies. Therefore, it does not cover the whole system of 38 Bach flower remedies.  We would always recommend looking to the complete system to find out which remedy is best for you. More information on Dr Bach’s 38 flower remedies can be found on the Bach™ Original Flower Remedies website by attending the BIEP courses or on the Bach Centre website.
