~1 in 5 WOMEN would pop the question to their partner during a leap year~
We’ve all heard the tradition that, on the last day in February in a leap year, the 'normal' order of proposals is reversed and woman can pop the question to their man. A recent survey has revealed that surprisingly one in five (20%) women would propose to their partner during a leap year*. It seems that British women are a conventional bunch with 40% of women who said they wouldn’t propose, revealing that the reason they wouldn’t pop the question is because it’s not tradition for women to propose. Nearly a third (31%) of women are put off by fear their partner would say no. Surprisingly most women are not put off by fear of what others may think of them proposing, with only 5% stating this as their reason for not popping the question.
