New Duchy Herbals give the public natural high quality health
Nelsons, the UK’s largest manufacturer of natural healthcare products, is proud to have been selected by Duchy Originals to manufacture the new Duchy Herbals range of natural herbal tinctures, which have been launched this month – the key post-Christmas cold and flu season.
The three new herbal tinctures in the range are Hyperi-lift Tincture, Echina-Relief Tincture (Traditional Herbal Medicinal Products) and Detox Tincture (a food supplement).
Duchy Herbals Echina-Relief Tincture and Duchy Herbals Hyperi-lift Tincture are the first UK produced herbal tinctures to be registered under the Traditional Herbal Medicinal Products Directive, which applies to all European states. The directive means that the two tinctures have been assessed – in terms of their safety, quality and evidence of traditional use and have been licensed by the UK regulatory authorities (the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency). Duchy Herbals Detox Tincture is classed as a food supplement that helps aid digestion and supports a detox programme.
The three remedies are the first in the range to be launched in order to meet public demand for high quality natural products. Hyperi-Lift Tincture is made from St Johns Wort (Hypericum), Echina-Relief Tincture from Echinacea and Detox Tincture from artichoke and dandelion extracts.
-
Duchy Herbals Echina-Relief Tincture has been produced to help alleviate symptoms of the common cold and influenza type infections. It includes Echinacea purpurea, which has been traditionally used to treat colds and flu.
-
Duchy Herbals Hyperi-lift Tincture is a traditional herbal medicinal product usedto relieve symptoms of slightly low mood and mild anxiety. It includes Hypericum – a herbaceous perennial plant commonly known as St John’s Wort.
-
Duchy Herbals Detox Tincture has been produced tohelp support the body’s natural elimination and detoxification processes. It includes extracts of Dandelion and Artichoke, the latter of which is a well-known digestive aid, making it the ideal product to help kick-start your body after the festive period!
Duchy Originals’ CEO Andrew Baker said: “It has been tremendously exciting for us to develop the Duchy Herbals range with Nelsons, which has such a leading reputation for quality and expertise. Duchy Originals’ decision to launch these products reflects The Prince of Wales’s passion for integrated healthcare. We hope that the Duchy Herbals range of herbal remedies will encourage more people to adopt this integrated approach to their health.”
Charlotte Cox, Nelsons’ Director of Marketing, said: “We are proud to be working with the Duchy Originals team to enter the field of herbal tinctures with a high quality range of commonly used herbal remedies. Combining our efforts means that we can use our individual areas of expertise to reach out to a wider target audience – including, potentially, those who have previously not tried herbal tinctures.”
Michael McIntyre, one of the UK’s leading herbalists, teamed up with Duchy Herbals to help create the new products, “The launch of the three new Duchy Herbals products marks a significant and most welcome step forward in the development of high quality herbal remedies available to the public. The Hypericum and Echinacea Tinctures (licensed under the new EU traditional medicines licensing scheme) and the Detox Tincture (containing artichoke and dandelion) have been manufactured to the highest standards after exhaustive lab testing and meticulous in-depth research into the traditional and scientific benefits of the plants which they contain. These are herbals fit for the 21st century!”
