Whether it’s from a drunken tumble or a hazard of the job, celebrities have been sporting some less-than-flattering bruises. But when appearances are everything, unsightly bruises are a huge faux pas. Here are some of the most recent offenders:
Heidi Klum had a huge bruise which she didn’t mind showing off following a skit at the Emmy Awards last year where she was dropped by the host Tom Bergeron.
Kate Moss and her boyfriend made headlines at Christmas time by blaming getting their cuts and bruises on a Christmas decoration accident!
Madonna has never confessed where her suspicious bruises have come from but there has been much speculation that they have come from her on-going quest for eternal youth and her love of self improvement.
Then there’s Britney, what kind of mad-cap behaviour has given her all her bumps and knocks? But it is thought that they have come from honest hard work on her latest Circus tour.
Last year’s Dancing On Ice star Jessica Taylor was covered in bruises, so she should have followed previous year’s contestant Zaraah Abrahams who had a secret up her sleeve – arnica.
Arnica, the popular herbal remedy, has been shown to be effective for inflammation and bruising. Ice skating supremo Jane Torvill should know and other famous fans include Davina McCall, Gabby Logan and Kirstie Alsopp. So next time you suffer a prang (whether it is accidental or foolish!), reach for arnica!
